Recently an Indian startup Smartron launched its first ever smartphone called the ’t.phone’ in India at an event held on 19th May in Hyderabad.
t.phone features a Bold Dual-tone scheme and Smartron claims that it is the lightest phone in its category weighing only 149 grams thanks to its Ultra-thin form factor.
It features a 5.5” full-HD(1080X1920) SUPER AMOLED display with a 401ppi pixel density and also Corning Gorilla 3. Smartron has also equipped the t.phone with Apical Assertive technology for improved sunlight legibility.
Smartron had made the t.phone powerful and by equipping it with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM for smooth multitasking and overall performance.
It sports a 13MP rear camera with 1.12µm pixel size. It has PDAF autofocus, dual LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. The camera is capable of recording 4k videos too. Front camera is of 4MP with a large 2µm pixel size for better low light performance and also has HDR for photos.
Storage wise the phone has 64GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable via microSD card upto 128GB and unlimited t.cloud online storage.
It is powered by a 3000mAh battery with quick charge 2.0 which is really pretty decent and also a USB-Type C charger which makes this phone future proof.
Now the price of the phone is the main attraction. All these specs with a solid build quality is ₹22,999 which is really amazing. Smartron t.phone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box and also has the ‘tronx’ UI which will give users access to services directly from Smartron, like tcloud, tcare and tstore. The device is available in 4 colour Classic Grey, Metallic Pink, Steel Blue, and Sunrise Orange and will go on sale in early June via Smartron t.store and registrations are already opened.
